For easier digestion and better nutritional benefit, grind flax seeds in a small coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle. Ground flax seeds taste nutty, a bit like wheat germ. Sprinkle on foods, uncooked, for maximum benefit. Flax as Egg Replacer Instructions: Grind seeds, then gradually add enough water to make an egg-like consistency. Use in place of an egg. Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Good price. Using for smoothies. Not a bunch of chaff like some I've purchased from others.
Sometimes I want the flax seeds to blend in with other ingredients color-wise. Golden flax seeds are perfect for that. Good quality, not a bunch of chaff like sometimes I've purchased from others.
Thank you for your review Kara! Besides the blending of color, some people appreciate the milder nuttier flavor of Golden Flax Seeds over the stronger taste of the brown ones. Either way, the Cleveland Clinis says that flax seeds are a nutritional powerhouse rich in omega-3 fatty acids, lignans, and fiber, which improve digestion, lower blood pressure, and reduce cholesterol and that consuming ground (rather than whole) flaxseed ensures better nutrient absorption, offering benefits like improved glycemic control, potential cancer protection, and weight management.
